Conditions of approval for development projects include the installation and maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMP’s) for site design and storm water treatment, which must be designed per approved numeric sizing criteria. General guidance on the selection and implementation of BMP’s and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans can be found on the California Storm Water Quality Association website at www.cabmphandbooks.com and at www.scvurppp.org (link to “Reports & Products 2003-2004” and “Guidance Manual”).
Each Group 1 and Group 2 project will also require a Certification of Engineered Storm Water Treatment for New and Redevelopment Projects. The Certification of Engineered Storm Water Treatment for New and Redevelopment Projects may be obtained at the Public Works Department at City Hall or on this website.
Owners of properties with treatment BMP’s will also be required to certify on-going operation and maintenance. For more information, please contact: Public Works Engineering at (408) 866-2150 or via email
