This award represents the commitment of Cities and Towns to preserve and enhance their urban forest. To be named Tree City USA, a community must meet four standards: adoption and enforcement of a tree care ordinance, have a comprehensive forestry program, have a Tree Board or Department such as the Parks and Recreation Commission, and have an observance of Arbor Day.
Participants in the celebration will include members of the City Council, Parks and Recreation Commission, State Department of Forestry, students from Delphi Academy and the citizens of Campbell.
The program offers an opportunity for everyone to become acquainted with the City’s success in tree care and the principles of environmental conservation.
In celebration of receiving this award, the community is invited to participate in the City of Campbell’s Arbor Day celebration at 10:30 am on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 166 Echo Drive.
