Del Grande Redevelopment


Cresleigh Homes has submitted revised plans for a  mixed use building at the former "Del Grande Auto Center". The L-shaped project site is an assemblage of five parcels comprising approximately 1.63 (gross) acres (formerly the Del Grande Auto Center). Three parcels are located at 540, 558 and 566 East Campbell Avenue and two parcels are located at 24 and 34 Dillon Avenue, between Downtown Campbell and the Pruneyard Shopping Center and adjacent to Campbell Park.   

The proposal consists of 6,512 square feet of ground level commercial space and 59 residential condominium units. Commercial parking would be located on the ground level and residential parking would be located on the second level. The project also consists of three stories of residential for-sale condominium units. The project includes six (6) low-income units required under the City's Affordable Housing Ordinance. The project also includes a Density Bonus which allows nine (9) additional market rate units in exchange for providing three (3) additional low-income units for a total of nine (9) low-income units. The Density Bonus also allows two (2) development concessions (e.g., height), as well as reduced parking standards given the proximity to Light Rail. The total number of units in the development, including the low-income units is nineteen (19) 1-bedroom units ranging from 722 to 1,158 square feet in area, and forty (40) 2-bedroom units ranging from 1,021 to 1,542 square feet in area.
